Refund Policy

This policy explains your right to cancel a service, and the refund position for each service available through C100Form.co.uk.

Last reviewed: May 2026  |  Next review: May 2027  |  Family Legal Ltd t/a C100Form.co.uk

C100Form.co.uk is a trading name of Family Legal Ltd. Services purchased through this site are delivered by Mediate UK and Family Law Service, both Family Legal Ltd trading names. This refund policy sets out your statutory rights and how those rights apply to each service. It applies to consumers in England and Wales and should be read alongside our Terms of Use.

We aim to be as fair and flexible as possible while ensuring our service runs efficiently for all clients. If you have any questions, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

1. Your statutory right to cancel

When you book a service with us, you are entering into a contract. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a legal right to cancel most services within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund, unless:

  • the service has already been fully delivered, or
  • you have requested that we begin the service within the 14-day cancellation period and have agreed to waive your right to cancel.

Booking an appointment, returning required paperwork, or signing the Agreement to Mediate within the 14 days indicates your request for the service to start immediately. If your appointment is due to take place within 14 days of booking, you will be asked to confirm:

“I agree for the service provider to begin work on my case within the next 14 days and understand this means I may lose my right to cancel.”

Once your session has begun, or once we are within the cancellation window specific to your service (see below), your right to cancel may no longer apply. The sections below explain how this works for each service.

2. MIAM appointments

MIAM appointments (including the standard £138 MIAM and the urgent 24-hour £222 MIAM) are delivered by Mediate UK. Refunds depend on notice given before the scheduled appointment.

Notice given Refund available
More than 24 hours before appointment Full refund
Less than 24 hours before appointment No refund

Urgent 24-hour MIAM: Once an urgent MIAM has been booked and the mediator has been scheduled, no refund is available, as we have allocated mediator time at short notice that cannot be reassigned.

Legal Aid MIAMs: No charge applies, so refund provisions do not apply.

3. C100 form completion service

The C100 form completion service (£240) and the C100 plus CAFCASS preparation bundle (£350) are delivered by qualified McKenzie Friends at Family Law Service.

Cancellation within 14 days

  • You may cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided no work has commenced on your form.
  • If you have asked us to start work within the 14-day period, you waive your right to cancel.

Once work has started

Once a McKenzie Friend has begun work on drafting your C100 form, no refund is available. We will, however, complete the work agreed for the fee paid.

Court rejection guarantee

If the court rejects your completed C100 due to a drafting error made by us, we will:

  • issue a full refund, and
  • provide a free redraft of the form.

This guarantee does not apply where rejection is due to missing information, inaccurate information you have provided to us, the court disagreeing with the content of the application, or changes requested by the court that fall outside drafting errors.

4. CAFCASS preparation meetings

CAFCASS preparation meetings (£150 standalone, or £110 as part of the £350 bundle) prepare you for your initial CAFCASS contact and First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointment (FHDRA). These are one-hour meetings with our McKenzie Friends.

Notice given Refund available
Before the meeting is scheduled Full refund
More than 24 hours before the meeting 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before the meeting No refund

This reflects the fact that our McKenzie Friends would be unable to allocate your time slot to another client at short notice.

5. McKenzie Friend services and hearing support

McKenzie Friend services include court hearing accompaniment, additional preparation meetings, and ongoing case support beyond C100 completion.

  • More than 24 hours before the meeting or hearing: 50% refund of the meeting cost.
  • Within 24 hours of the scheduled meeting or hearing: No refund.

This reflects the fact that the McKenzie Friend would be unable to allocate your time slot to another client at short notice, particularly for court attendance.

6. Legal advice services and consent orders

Where you are referred to our SRA regulated legal partners (such as DFA Law LLP) for legal advice or a child arrangements consent order, your contract is with that legal partner, and their refund policy applies. We recommend you read their terms before purchasing.

For legal advice services delivered through Family Law Service directly:

  • A full refund is available if you cancel within 14 days of purchase, provided the service has not yet been delivered.
  • No refund is available once the legal advice has been delivered, whether in writing, by telephone, or by consultation.

For clean break or child arrangements consent orders drafted by our paralegals: you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund, unless you have asked us to start work. Once a paralegal has begun drafting, no refund is available.

7. Other paperwork and document services

We are unable to offer refunds once any of the following documents have been completed:

  • Open Financial Statement (OFS)
  • Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
  • Form A, Form C1A, or Form C100
  • Parenting Plans
  • Any other custom-drafted document for your case

8. How to request a refund

To request a refund, please contact us in writing. Email is preferred so we have a clear record. Please include:

  • your full name
  • order reference (in your booking confirmation email)
  • the service purchased and the booking date
  • the reason for cancellation or refund request

We will respond within 3 working days and, where a refund is approved, issue it using the original payment method within 14 days.

If you believe an exceptional circumstance applies (such as bereavement, serious illness, or domestic abuse) please let us know in your refund request. We will consider these on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
